AI Removal

You may have noticed that many of the images are missing. Allow me to explain.

Back when I launched (lobbed?) this author page, mainstream AI was relatively new. I am no artist, and commissioning images for my passion projects is prohibitive. I toyed around with generative AI to make images that fit the desired mood and used them to spice up the page.

Since then it's become crystal clear that generative AI is bad in an astounding number of ways. I do have a nuanced position on when it's a viable alternative, but this isn't the place for that. For now, I've decided to take down anything AI generated.

I'm only getting to this now, because honestly I forgot this page existed.
